This study is a prospective multicenter double-blind randomized controlled trial. It will recruit patients with SCAF (Sub-Clinical Atrial Fibrillation) detected by either a pacemaker, an ICD (implantable cardioverter defibrillator) or an insertable cardiac monitor (ICM); who also have other risk factors for stroke (previous stroke/TIA or systemic arterial embolism OR age ? 75 OR age 65-74 with ? 2 other risk factors OR age 55-64 with ? 3 other risk factors). Eligible and consenting patients will be randomized to receive aspirin or apixaban.
