The major goal is to identify antigen-specific T cell responses in macaques with LTBI and SIV co-infection. Here we have infected some animals with Mtb to develop LTBI, while others naturally progress to ATB. Further, some of the animals have been co-infected with SIV (n=6) and 4 of which reactivated and 2 didn't. In the years to come we will focus on generating more LTBI, ATB, R, NR animals and also perform SIV ART treatment. Eventually antigen-specific responses to ESAT-6, CFP-10, and CW will be evaluated in the peripheral as well as lung samples. Role: MPI
