The objectives of this single site, prospective study are to compare the age-gender variation across ratios vs the age-gender variation across thicknesses or cross-sectional areas alone and to establish normal values for ultrasonographic metrics of relevant muscles and tendons of the rotator cuff. The goal of this study is to establish normative measurements of three different ratios involving the rotator cuff muscles: the trapezius:supraspinatus thickness ratio, the supraspinatus:infraspinatus cross sectional area (CSA) ratio, and the infraspinatus:teres minor CSA ratios.
