Identify epigenetic mechanisms associated with monocyte/microglia activation associated with HIV associated neurocognitive disorder using the SIV-rhesus macaque model. In addition, we will use cannabinoids to suppress inflammation and determine the epigenetic mechanisms underlying its anti-inflammatory effects.
